whats the highest rpm you can take a stock motor to without blowing it up.was woundering if a stock D-max would turn 4,000-4,500 rpm or would it blow

it can turn that fast, idk if the springs can take that much rpm for long periods of time , but i have ran mine up to the high 4000's several times goofing around on wet roads

I'm sure mine has seen 4500 or better, but not under a load. Stock valvetrain won't last above 4k.

4500? thats rolling pretty darn good, a stock motor could handle 4000k for a few seconds at a time, but sustain it and your gona need a big magnet to pick up all the pieces.. LOL my LBZ stock spins 3500k, sounds pretty gnarly when its rolling that fast, 4500 would be wild

Man I get scared when mine goes past 3200 sometimes under load... I can't imagine seeing 4000+rpm on that engine.

I like when mine puts you in your seat without a high rev... When i'm at 1800 rpms and it's about to break loose, is a good feeling... but, then again my tranny doesn't like the high rpms either... the clutch likes to hang up
