could be cheaper to find an engine and swap them. and a hell of alot faster too.

Ill know probably tomorro what ill need to do, In the mean time wht do you guys think of this. I found an old 12 valve cummins, comnplete truck for sale with 67,000 original miles for $1,600. Should i get the conversion kit and go with that. If its gonna cost me much for the piston, and if the heads screwed up in mine, i'm considering it. My current engine has 175,000 miles on it.

ya go with it if mileage is correct and truck is in descent shape you could make some of your money back 67,000 miles on something like that sounds like a good deal

Yeah, that sounds like a STEAL! To part that truck out you could make more money than what you paid for it easy if it's in good shape.

Screaminseema would be the guy to talk to about a GM Cummins conversion. He's done many of them and makes engine mounts.

it would be alot more then 1600 to get it to work with the ali and original gauges
