tranny is not a place to try and save some money. you have already limped it. the clutches are hurt and know it will go into limp mode easier and easier everytime you do it. c1 clutches are used for every gear except 5th and reverse. so once you put it in drive they never disengage until 5th. second is c1's and c2's. third is c1's and c3's. fourth is c1's and c4's. fifth is c5's. c4's are the weakest but not the most used. the most used are the c3's as they are used for reverse as well. i think this is right but i cant recall for sure if that is the right sequence of clutches for the gears. bottom line you need a built tranny. even if you get it replaced with a stock one you are still going to slip the new one. adn your powertrain warranty doesnt cover your tranny.

Some other info about Solenoids:

Trim Sol A is Normaly Closed and allows for Limp home in Power Failure Mode
Trim Sol B is Normaly Open

Trim Solonoids control Ongoing, Offgoing, and Holding Psi to the 5 clutch packs.

Solenoids C,D,E are Shift Solenoids (Normaly Closed)

Shift Solenoids are used to provide logic to distribute fluid to the Clutch Packs

Solenoid F is a Lockup Solenoid (Normaly Closed)

Solenoid F controls the Converter Lockup using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).

Hope this helps. Feel free to add related info to this thread or correct anything you see that is not correct. Thanks!
