Default Looking For Some Answers About The Best Programmer For An LB7

i am new to the diesel world. i bought myself a 03 2500 with the lb-7 and a 31' toyhauler it pulls it great and i get about 12-14 mpg when loaded. empty i get 20+ mpg.

i love the milage i get and i want to hear from some of you LB-7 guys on which chip is the best for me.

i don't really want to turn it into a super powerhouse pushing 1000 hp but i don't want to leave it stock either.

i have heard good things about ppe but if i am going to put out $500+/- for a chip i want the best bang for my buck.

Thanks for your input

Best bang for the buck is the Predator IMO, if you want the best handheld tuner and money is not an issue go with the PPE. I have have both and I like both of them.

X2 on the Predator. It's a great bang for the buck.

I did some research and asking smart people stupid questions and settled on a PPE Standard for my LLY. I'm really happy and it was only about $75 more than what I could get a Predator for. You'll get some slight MPG increases too.

OK, so I have to ask - whats with the poll?

Are you seriously asking if a VW TDI gets better mileage than a 7000 pound truck?

Just curious.

IMO, you cant go wrong with EFI LIVE.. its completely tunable.. u can go from a mileage tow.. to a 500hp race tune.. PPE I would say equal to EFI LIVE.. its way easier to use, but doesnt have the options EFI live does.. I dont know much about a predator.. but I promise when 2500Heavy Duty sees this thread, he will also say EFI LIVE would be the best... its customizable for your personal application.

I would have to say ppe or efi live if your looking for the best havent tried or heard much about the predator but when it comes down to it its all about how much money you wanna throw at it.

I would recomend PPE they have tuners mild to wild with quality tunes and customer service second to no one.

im not going to say anything....

Get EFI if you have time to mess with tunes, but PPE is easier for a regular joe its plug and play, most people get it cause they get scared from EFI.
