Default Transmission Question

When putting my truck into drive from park there is a clunking noise..Can anyone point me in the right direction?

maybe your shift linkage is worn? or does it sound like its inside the trans?

depending where it comes from could be a u-joint going bad or lots of backlash in the rearend, maybe check trans fluid and change if necessary and same with rear end fluid

could be a u-joint, do you park it on a hill alot?
could be a transfer case too, all depends
