I don't get how this happens how does a pump just fail no signs of it going bad.

The kid I know that has the other pump had the complete engine compartment wireing harness if I bought it would I need to buy anything else

He also has the computer too it's all off a 1994

 

I'm not going to get in any deeper, someone else can explain it if they want.

stich with the mech pump. way easier to mess around with and take apart and has less problems, dont go to ds4. go on ebay i bet there is a pump on there for like $300.

 

i have a 8v71 in my shrimp boat and it wont start when it gets hot....can someone help?

 

Good chance the injection pump is worn out.

Try pouring water over it and attempt a start when the hot no start occurs-if it starts the IP needs attention.

Adequate cranking speed is also needed.
