I don't want to take the drive shaft out if I don't have do, i didn't know if I needed to so I could get the u joint off, what are the steps I need to do????

you better take it to a repair shop! watch them then you can change your u joints your self next time. sounds like you have a broken cross shaft retainer bolt.
