probably around 10-20 hp increase. you will be able to feel it but its not much. yes it will make more smoke

 

Well i'll be getting to it either wednesay or friday. I'll do a whole thread on how to do it and all. From what i have read you get much better throttle response, and a bit more smoke, but you will all know as soon as i do.

 

ok so i finally did it. Unfortunitly on my truck i can't tell you how it works, cause well i still have to put the transmission back in, but i did do it to another buddies truck, and i wll say you have a much better throttle response, and a fair amount of more smoke. The biggest advantage i saw, was the fact it boosted much quicker. We have his truck set to 17psi, and it feels like a whole new truck.

 

i would back boost back to to 13 or 15psi

 

nah, we aquired the truck for free, so we use it as a test mule, fab truck, and scrap runner. We have no money into it, but got it with thicker head gaskets, and head studs already done, so if we blow it up were not gonna be sad. It was set for 20 psi, up until about 2 months ago, and we swapped the gm turbo for an h1c. Haven't gotten around to changing the waste gate to set it back for 20psi. We got the truck with the intention of swapping a cummins in, which we already have, and making it a pullin truck.
