Default Injection pump questions

Ok since my truck is apart for all kinds of repairs, i was looking into changing the oliptical sensor (sp.). I have done as much research as possible, but the one thing i have found, is i have only seen it done on 95 and newer 6.5's. I have a 94, but on one website, they said and ip that has a pmd, which mine does have. So am i able to do it? Also i have seen people who have specific numbers that it was turned too, whats up with that?

Any help will be appreciated. If i am able to do it, i will do a complete write up, with pictures.

i think he wants to bump it. in that case turn it 1mm to the right. but beware when looking at timing from a scan tool it will be wrong because you are fooling it.
