the key to making more noise is in running large diameter pipe, its like putting a megaphone on your exhaust. when my buddy had a cummins we just cut the exhaust shorter and shorter till there was nothing left and it was never loud enough, iv got about 4ft of 5" pipe welded to the downpipe and its loud as hell and the turbo makes a ton of downspool noise every time i step on the clutch

and btw, 6.5s sound very cool with a good exhaust, MUCH better then a cummins imo... iv always wanted a v8 diesel but i cant afford a duramax and if im buying a cheep truck i really wanted a solid axle so im stuck with my turd box that sounds like a dump truck .

i have a 2.5 inch cross over pipe then 3 inch all the way back with a 5 inch tip and i also got rid of the stock air box and put a cheap racing air filter on it and it sounds pretty darn good and my brother says when i get on the trottle he can hear the turbo in his truck he has a 83 chevy with a built 350 in it so i would have to say it turned out great

3" down pipe, 4"pipe to dual 5" stacks sounds pretty mean.

6inch stacks with 5 inch in bed plumbing makes the engine bark pretty good
