transmission imidiate attntion
i have a 6.2 with a 700 r4 and it slipps until 3rd but when i top it off with fluid its fine for a while when it gets hot it leaks and one guy told me my tranny was boiling fluid any idias a flush maybe what do i have to do to flush it? what parts needed
You can clean it out with about anything mineral spirits or any solvent and compressed air. It should be in the radiator so it shouldn't be to complex of a cooler. If you don't rebuild the trans it will probably do the same thing.
well i dont think its clogged any more it just leaks from it looks like above the starter and i think it just leaks and then slips cause fluid shortage any clue what it could be leaking from
Is it leaking on the out side of the bell or on the in side? If it is leaking on the out side the only two things I can think of is if the oil cooler lines run above the starter but I don't think they do. It is probably leaking out of the dipstick. The question is if it is coming out of the top of the dipstick or if there is a hole in the tube.
