1996 turbo diesel

Default 1996 turbo diesel

I have a 1996 gmc 6.5 turbo diesel.. Problem I replaced pmd 6 to 7 months ago truck has ran fine all of a sudden it won't crank no lights on the dash will come on no check engine or water level as they would by just flipping the key over I'm lost can anyone help?

Update I checked voltage in fuse box no juice at ECM 1 fuse what is that I done a little research and some people are saying that is a way to check the ignition switch? I'm lost any help would be appreciated

Ignition switches fail and need replaced.

First thing I would do is clean all battery cables and make sure they are tight and check the cable going to the underhood fusebox.

Also when the key is in the run position does the radio and blower motor work but not the instrument cluster?
If that is the case then the Ignition switch is high on the list of suspects.

If no power flow anywhere,then connections are a concern.

Radio blower work I turned key over and checked engine 1 fuel sol and ECM and glow plug fuses and none are receiving power all battery connections and grounds are very good and clean

Very good chance ignition switch is bad but also check in cab fuses,can't remember if there is an ignition fuse?

All fuses under dash are good question though to replace the ignition switch will I need to remove the steering wheel? I've purchased the part installing today
