6.5 hard starting
broke down and took it to the dealer and they confirmed brand new crank sensor was bad and said they repaired some of the wiring going to cps. i replaced crankshaft sensor but now i have a code p0216 and a p1214 and my tach stopped working after the CPS replacement but it worked b4. thanks for all the help it is much appreciated, just trying to get all this fixed b4 i put my kojotune on.
P0216 Injection Timing Control Circuit
P1214 Injection Pump Timing Offset
Sounds like TDCO is out of range and needs adjusted.Dealer should have done this much easier with a tech II.
Can be done manually if you have a scan tool that displays TDCO with KOKO procedure.
I find with the Snap On MT2500 scan tool,if you enter vehicle year as a 2000 no matter what year the vehicle is you get valid TDCO readings.
I use Carcode and manual IP adjustment.
Tach is run from alternator-check wiring.

the tach worked when i took it to them so do you think this is something that is their fault and i should have them correct it. and the tdc offset should have been done at the time of repair so this should be free of charge also correct.
