So I go to start my 2000 X 7.3
1st crank...5 secound...no start...
2nd attempt cranks for 3 seconds then starts...cold or hot.....
Checked the icp plug...has oil in it...and if disconnected the truck won't start......plug it back in and she fires up...

 

Could be, when mine was bad it was sometimes hard starting and ran like **** till it was warm.

 

If there's oil in it when you pull the plug then it needs to be changed because its shot.
