The only thing under the intake is the IP and OPS,I can't think of any reason to wire a rheostat to the IP,the PMD resistor is supposed to be a fixed value and does not get connected to the fuel solenoid anyway.

The coolant sensor can sometimes be wired with a different resistor value for cold start, but it is in the coolant crossover on top of the intake.

Il,l have to get a exact place were it goes to, i think it might go to the PMD, i would like to just remove it, is it that simple as to just unhook the wires and take it off?? And do you have an idea about the whole reving only to 1100 rpms and not anymore?? Im selling the truck and a guy is coming saturday and ths happened a day after he called to make the arrangments and i would hate to tell him he cant come anymore, hes driving 3 hours

Could be a bad PMD,a bad IP or a bad throttle peddle resistor set(usually codes)?
If you could trace the wires destination exactly it might shed some light?

The only codes i got were the 2 i mentioned earlier, just ran a reader again and still those 2. I am looking for the wires right now

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I can follow them from inside the cab to right on top the injector pump, then they go into the main wire tube, or case or whatever you wanna call it and i cant find tem, i tried wiggling them a bit to see if i notice any movement farther down and i cant

This link may help for parts identification/location Part Locations

You said you replaced the IP was it a new IP, remanned IP, or used but good IP off of another vehicle?

Any stored codes will negate ability to do a k/o-k/o TDC learn also you have to be in excess of 170F coolant temp to have the learn actually work.

Stuck @ 1000 rpm sounds more like a APP or IP issue, though it could be PMD/FSD. The wired device in cab goe to where exactly (use the attached photo link to figure it out) Sounds like the prior owner did not zactly know what they were doing.

To figure out the 6.5 lingo you mite wanna try here Acronyms "What you talking about"
