Truck is 1998 Chevy k1500 6.5 diesel with 210000 miles. Symptoms: Starts and drives fine until warm then shuts off causing dangerous situation. After several attempts fuel starts flowing again and it starts. Then repeats. In past 6 months have brought to many diesel mechanics and even Chevy dealership putting $4000 into it and same issue. Have had 3 pmds, fuel filter, lift pump, and fuel injector pump replaced and back to same issue. At this point I can drive about 10 miles before it dies. Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

how do the fuel lines look? any cracks in them causing air to get in the lines.

 

Clogged fuel sock, or wrong one.

Lift the bed of the truck, remove fuel sender unit, grab little bastard sock, throw it as far as you can.

Reinstall, smile for long time.

Oh yeah, now will need to change the fuel filter with every oil change.
