1998 Chevy 6.5, revs to 1000rpm but thenld its self there
I have a 1998 chevy 2500 with the 6.5. On my way to work it started cutting ou on my like it was running out of fuel then it went and will only rev to 1000rpm. It has a little turn thing hanging my my feet that has a red blue and white wire running to it then that runs to the injection pump and idk were from there, but a couple days ago it was cutting out and i would turn the little dial either way and it would stop cutting out, then it got to were turning it would do nothing but if i held it then it would, then yesterday it just stopped doing anything. I really need the truck running today and i really want to know what that is so i an tak it out Someone said it was a resinator or something like that, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

P0237 Turbo Boost Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
P0238 Turbo Boost Sensor Circuit High Voltage
No idea what the last code might be?
The first 2 codes lead me to believe that the resistor is what is called a boost fooler,it should be connected to the map sensor if I am right?
Does your truck have a turbo master/mechanical wastegate?

If it is a PMD resistor I would remove the entire contraption and get a proper PMD resistor.

The waste gate is welded shut, and that would make sence of it being a boost fooler, now that i recall when i played with it one day turning it all the way down the truck would just smoke alot and make no power, then i would turn it the other way and it would blow very little and be alot faster and more resonsive, i guess i never payed attention to the boost gauge as i thought it was a resister for the fuel pump like you can do on the ford 7.3

You do not want to exceed 10 psi sustained boost and no more than 15 psi boost spikes with stock programming.
The boost fooler will let you get to over 10 psi without coding.
A welded wastegate is not a good situation with these engines.
Returning it to a spring controlled mechanical wastegate would be a good move-search turbomaster.

The truck was programmed before and i could get 20psi, then the injector pump went out and when i got it back i could only get 10-11 psi. Could pung a new injector pump have caused the programming to be deleted? I never has this problem before the injctor pump got put in, i could push 20psi and it would run great none of this happening

Depends who installed the IP,if it was done at a dealership they may have reprogrammed the ECM to a factory update?A welded wastgate should still make max boost even in that case though.
Having the timing incorrectly set might also affect boost, starting and temperature.
I would have a TDCO(timing)relearn done and corrected if not in spec.
Stock TDCO: -0.25 to -0.75
performance: -1.50 to -1.94

For OBDII a TDCO relearn can be done 2 ways,a scanner that displays TDCO is required at a minimum.
A scanner like a TECH2 or a laptop based scanner program like carcode or auto enginuity have the ability to initiate the TDCO realearn and display the learned value.
Or a "KOKO relearn procedure" can be done to initiate the relearn and a simpler scanner can be used to display the value.
Once the first relearn is done you can live with the result or physically move the IP to get a more desirable value and repeat the relearn to see if you got what you wanted.
The -1.50 performance value is a good target and produces less cold start death rattle than the -1.94 optimum value.
