wv is remote. i hear tell you can take the wrong turn down in southern wv.

 

yeah.... lots of wrong turns from my experience down there..

 

That would be a deal breaker for me.

 

where i live is pretty much nowhere 7895 ft up but it gets cold here in the winter -30 or worse but summer is the best you will find

ok first of all ..... lots of wrong answers here... if you have never lived in alaska you just have been told this stuff. If you move to Anchorage area it is like living in LA with all the hunting and fishing at your door step. I lived in Anchorage for a year and a half and if I could talk my wife into it I would go today. Also lived in Juneau and Ketchican. Loved the southeast the most but there is a lot more of the modern living in Anchorage. Not sure what you do for a living but if you happen to be a mechanic pm me and I can give you a couple of places to call on. They will not hire you over the phone though they got beatup on that too many times. I called and put some feelers out then showed up and got hired that day. You will need to do some planning. It is a long way and you need to be prepared for what can happen on the road.... Good and wish I was going to....
