Default 95 47rh won't move after torque converter locked up

So I was driving my truck yesterday cruising about 50 with my manual t\c lock up switch on. when I had to slam on the breaks and I didn't get the switch turned off til I heard the engine start to shutter. But when I tried to take back off truck won't move forward or reverse. What could this be?

Could it be the converter or the input shaft? Or something else

Sounds like you've fallen victim to the dangerous side of a lockup switch. What do you have for internals in the trans?

As far as I know all stock supposed to have 10 k on rebuild but have no way to verify. Shifted fine till now. Pulled cooler line off and have little to no fluid flow so figure it's a pump or something.

I would put money on a broken input shaft.

Well I thought that at first but I noticed if I put the transfer case in neutral and put it in drive and try to go to put it back in 2hi (slowly) it will grind the gears. I wouldn't think it would turn at all with a broken input shaft

But then again I know very little about transmission internals.

I'd be a little bit surprised if it broke the input shaft doing that. I will say: putting a lockup switch on a stock transmission is a dice roll I would never risk. As for what is actually jammed up, well... I'm not sure. We do have some trans builders in here somewhere though, hopefully they'll drop out of the woodwork here shortly.

Can you turn it over by hand? I'd bet it's in the converter, but I'm no expert.
