i dont try and out do the neighbors so i dont keep up on new TV technology....... and my 25 inch color TV thats 4 years old works just fine.....

My GF bought me a 50" Hitachi Rear Projection LCD for Christmas last year from Sears.

$1350 with a Sears 5 year warranty.

I counldn't beat it for the price. But its only 720p/1080i. Awsome picture and I havent had any problems with it. Just make sure you buy the extended warranty because after 1 year noone carries parts for these TV's.

Anyway, TV shopping is pretty confusing these days....whats better - LCD's or Plasmas? I was under the impression that the bulbs in the plasma burn out quick and that they use a lot more power than LCD's.
Costco has a 70" for only $11k....... Get it and then I can come and visit.....
