I'll get a HD when I have too. I don't watch TV enough to justify spending $1K on a TV. I still have the 13" I got 15 years ago in my bedroom.

I bought a Samsung 56" DLP 1080P projection exactly a year ago. The difference between the (P) and the (i) is that (P) is progressive scan (scans line from left to right and the next line on the way back) and (i) scans every other line from left to right. 720P will look better on a 32" screen size than 1080P on a 61" screen size. Also the bulbs in the DLP's are starting to be replaced by LED's about 10 times the service life (I don't know about the LCD's and Plasma's). When I bought mine, I wanted the best picture I could get because I have a PS3 and XBOX 360 with HD-DVD player and I get at least four High Def movies per month from Netflix. Anyway, this is just my opinion and nothing more. I am by no means an expert. Thanks for reading.

Yes i think hes right about 1080I an 1080P an 720. I really like the Samsung DLP an their not all that expensive, they have a great picture too, whenever we got ours earlier this year it had one of the best lookin pictures on the market.

I've heard this before but can't ever get a solid answer on what the break in is about. Any advice?

I have heard from several people that of the first few weeks you do not want to run the TV for more than a few hours at a time. Once it gets warm turn it off and let it cool down. Again this is what I have heard from several people.

I will try to see if I can load some pictures side by side of HD non HD. We don't have an HD dvd player yet because I am not convinced on which one is going to stay. I do have an HD up converter DVD player which makes a pretty big difference.

Once my wife leaves to go to the mall I will take pictures, she already thinks I am a dork. Taking pictures of our TV will only prove her point.

Grow a pair and have her pose with it like the Price Is Right girls do.
