lukesdiesel, we don't have a smoker, I just make up packets of soaked wood chips in tin foil and keep the back burners off, it works
Heck, this is only the 2nd time I've ever done ribs, it's raining out and the grill was to cool at the end to really caramelize the SBR & I was afraid if I turned up the gas the BBQ sauce would burn.
However, they turned out great, 3 with SBR and 1 with just rub & no leftovers

good ribs do not come from a store.....they come from the hog pen next to your barn......if your food didnt eat breakfast the same day you ate it for dinner, its just not gonna be the best it can be......nuff said.....
very few peoples recipe for making ribs or pulled pork BBQ involves a .30-06 rifle, a old oil tank welded to a field sprayer frame, and fresh cut hickory logs......mine does though.....
