Yea, I just bought a little Acer Aspire One. Neat little travel computer. Just gotta figure out how to download/transfer movies to a flash drive to watch. Any help? No CD/DVD drive you know.

You can always get an external DVD burner.

Just want to be able to watch a movie on it. Don't really need to burn anything.

P.S. Sorry for the hijack Ben, but you're in the same boat with your ASUS.

I would agree WINE can be "touchy", I use crossover pro which works better and build into my flavor of linux.

Not sure of the question here, sorry.
When I transfer my movies to my laptop, I use DVDShrink and a portable USB hard-drive, I carry roughly 60+ movies with me at all times. Not sure if that was the answer you were looking for, so hopefully this helps. Also dvdshrink is free and you should never have to pay for it.

DVD Shrink for sure.... you can compress a 7 gig movie to about 2 gig once you eliminate all the subtitle and language crap off it. very user friendly....
