So if we all just let this place die and make a new site for us "black sheep" then all the money that rob and IB think they have will be gone and we can still do what we want.

and sorry gunman41mag. You need to come back too.

As much as I would like it, we won't see results soon. Not at all. I'm not sure what it is going to take for positive change, but fear it will get much worse before better. Only one idea has been recognized so far, but a decision can not be made. We, the Super Mods and Robb, are discussing things in the back room. We, Super Mods, are very well aware of what isn't going to happen, but are still unsure of what will happen and when, if ever. We have also made aware that we are trying to make changes that are personal, and not looking out for the community. On multiple occasions proof of what the community would like have been presented, yet we are not believed. We will keep trying, but you can only beat a dead horse so long. We can all make the choice to stay and see what happens, leave for a while, or leave without looking back. I hope to see you all in a positive future.

it is a business, and businesses are to make money. IF they move the vendors back to the top, then when other hope full vendors come looking to sign up, they think that there are not that many because the sponsor section is at the bottom and lost in the clutter and they do not see them. all they see at the top is 2 banner ads that rotate, and are random so they may see the same 5-6 sponsors ads on a given date.

when was the last time you went to a new forum and looked at every forum they had on the main page?

BUT if they had all 58 sponsors up top, where they were the first seen when someone came to the main page, then they would likely NOT sign up due to having too much competition for the lack of traffic, or they would not sign up because of the ridiculous yearly rate.....

Hey Guys,
This is my first post so bear with me. I joined this site 5 or 6 days ago and just recently came across this topic. I just moved up to my first diesel and started looking at forums to gain some knowledge. The last site i was on was an F150 forum and they recently were taken over by a large company, as it seems this site was. The difference was the new owners of the site kept their dick beaters off of it. The moderators and admins had control of the site and the amount of posts and contributing members actually increased. Many members weren't even aware there was an exchange of power. The mods know this site and the moderators better than the company and are more accurate on their knowledge of what the site needs. Now if I'm wrong I apologize but that is just what I have picked up on by reading through the site.

I didn't mean to come off as a jerk or anything, but that's just what i thought after reading threw most of the site and then coming upon this topic. From what I could tell the owners are trying to make the site something that it's not and trying to change things that shouldn't be changed. That's why I brought up the forum that I used to be on. Even though it was under new management, the status quo stayed the same and moderators still ran the day to day operations and made changes as they saw fit. If I offended anyone I do apologize I did not mean to come across that way.

I'm did not intend to look like I was calling you anything. Heck, I like what your saying. It sure would make things go smoother here if our new owners would let us do our own thing.

RAWilliams, I got ya, I was just making sure. I didn't want to rub anyone the wrong way on my first post.
This is my first Diesel, and I'll be honest, I really don't know squat about them. I looked on a few other diesel forums and I saw more informative posts on this one than the others. I know when the owners of the site see my first post I might be a goner which would be unfortunate. But they need to understand that while they are the owners, they need to let go a bit and let the moderators do their job and manage the site as they see fit. In the end, it will probably work out better for everyone that way.
