people have other interest then just diesels, if i go to a friends house to work on his 69 camero, we don't just talk cars.... we talk about life in general....
the problem is to many people go off topic and it's not being enforced, people are just running amuck.
at one time i thought that was what i wanted now, i think it's ridiculous...i think it's called growing up!

Agreed. But the unfortuniute fact is IB will not make any changes for us (as far as the mod staff goes). We have been asking for help to clean up the forums, delete some mindless fluff and make this place a great Diesel site... But all they want to do is add more crap (like a worthless tire/wheel calculator???) and fluff (picture battles??? WTF?)...

And thats great, but we have entirely too many sub-forums, too much fluff and too much crap.

No one that is respected in the diesel performance arena will even come to this site...

Comp Diesel is a great, fun, smart site that has everthing this does, without the crap thats killing this one...

maybe your right, regardless it's easier to start a new site then rebuild a failing one.
i'm partly ignorant (keep that in mind) i do not visit any other diesel forums, i do not even have a diesel any more. i'm here simply for the social aspect, i lost my job, don't feel bad for me it's not like that. the job simply came to a end for the year and i moved from maine to Philadelphia, not knowing anyone here besides my fiance. i don't really want to look for work because i need to get a hernia repaired first, to make a long story shot....

any way, i may not have the best input, i can generally see where problems are.
i may not have always agreed with the old (original mods)
they did keep order here, they do deserve credit, i dunno what happened here? being one of the 1st members of this forum. i'm some what disappointed with my return.

Most left when Chad sold out. Some of us have stuck around and tried to improve it, however there has been no help from the current owners.

A few of us have been trying our hardest to get things changed around here, but it seems IB has different ideas of how the site should be run, so a lot of times our ideas don't really make it anywhere, and it's not our fault guys. We're here for the same reasons you are, we were just normal members at one point, and for the most part we still are. There is just only so much we can do though, as we don't have certain privileges to make big changes to the site. All we can do is bring it to the attention of IB and wait for something to happen. We did manage to get TOTM off the ground, and we do have some improvement ideas for that. We really are trying guys...
