Suncoast transmission
So i got my efi live ordered and the other stuff done but i have heard alot bout the suncoast tranny and im wondering if it would be better to buy the kit to rebuild mine or just buy the tranny
Depends on what kind of work you can do yourself. If you know how to build the trans it's worth just getting the kit and building it. It'll be significantly cheaper. If not, and you know how to drop the trans out and replace it, you're better off just going with the trans so you don't have to pay somebody labor. My trans has suncoast internals and has held up nicely so far with my hp for 15k miles or so... Good luck !!!
Ok i will get the kit and do it in my shop i can wrench well i do it for a living but i was just wondering which way was better now what do you guys suggest i get will the kit anything else that would be a good idea
Depends on the trucks hp and what you intend on doing with it... If you're not going to be sled pulling or drag racing with hard locked shifts, just do a suncoast extreme rebuild kit, maybe think about billet input or valve body upgrades if you have the funds but not really necessary
