ok guys,
I just installed a fuel boss on my '01 cummins. I followed the directions fully right up to the end, but it refuses to start. It sputtered twice, but never ran. The current lilft pump (on the rail) can get fuel pressurized in the lines and the fuel boss is pumping, but it is NOT starting. I have cracked the fuel filter, squirts fuel, no air. Cracked different fuel line fittings squirts fuel, no air. Cracked the injector pump feed, squirts fuel, no air. BUT IT WONT START!! At the moment it just cranks, no sputtering at all. Edge reads fuel pressure of in between 5-10psi, but no starting. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!

 

if yer gettin fuel to the pump it should run.................give it full throttle and crank it bro, I have seen that work befoire too

 

while i completely agree that fuel to the pump SHOULD make it work.... HOWEVER!!!

the air in the injector lines, specifically line 4, was bled and it started right up while bleeding it. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
