Hi Guys,
I have a hair puller for you all. I have a 99 that will start and idle fine, but you push on the pedal and absolutely nothing.
I have replaced the injection pump, the APPS, and the fuel lift pump. Still no change.
Only codes are P1693 DTC Detected in PCM (which I have researched to mean that there is a code stored in the ECM)
and a P1689 which is intermittent.
The P1689 No Communication between ECM and Injection Pump comes and goes along with
the check engine light.
I have checked fuel pressure and it is spot on.
I'm afraid this is leading me to a bad ECM. Any other suggestions before I blow the money?

 

It was the thottle position sensor. Reset it and problem gone.
