I had a guy install a cam and fix my kdp a few months ago. Know I'm having a friend install twins, intercooler, and manifold. My friend thinks the cover has never been pulled off for a cam to be installed. Is there a way to know for sure without pulling the cam?

 

you can measure cam lift @ the pushrod, with a dial indicator

 

if its a aftermarket cam it will have a hole for the retainer that holds the cam gear onto cam or the bolt on retainer on it if he installed it..

 

not all aftermarket cams have that hole, best way is to check lift and duration with your cam card

 

The cam was changed. Had a friend check it out. Have no idea what he did but I trust him.
