Cam question

I had a guy install a cam and fix my kdp a few months ago. Know I'm having a friend install twins, intercooler, and manifold. My friend thinks the cover has never been pulled off for a cam to be installed. Is there a way to know for sure without pulling the cam?

you can measure cam lift @ the pushrod, with a dial indicator

if its a aftermarket cam it will have a hole for the retainer that holds the cam gear onto cam or the bolt on retainer on it if he installed it.. :c:

not all aftermarket cams have that hole, best way is to check lift and duration with your cam card

The cam was changed. Had a friend check it out. Have no idea what he did but I trust him.
