"The" 2 Stroke Oil Thread

Compression is a fixed state. You can't change it by adding additives or 2 stroke.
The only thing that can happen is that 2 stroke solves oil coal at the piston rings. But you don't want to have a dirty combustion chamber, do you?
Most of the 2 stroke users(including myself) run a 1:200 mixture that means 1 quart of two stroke on 200 quarts(50gal)of diesel.
If you use more 2stroke oil it's waste, but it doesn't harm anything. If you mix to strong it starts to smoke bluesish but it doesn't harm anything.
If you get lower in the mixture it doesn't lube enough.
It takes a while before the effect appears. Don't expect a miracle! I only gained 1mpg- thats it. But as mentioned above I do not go for mileage.
I just wan't to have protection against wear.
Other Dieselbomber members explained me how it works- just pour in the 2 stroke oil first. It mixes itself with the Diesel.
Ah, don't forget to report your results- positive or negative!
