I went back to Delo. Had some poor results with the top two brands, and Delo was the only oil so far that gave me great results. I plan to pick up some Schaeffer's 9000 5W40 for the winter as well.

I can get the Exxon products super cheap so that would be perfect for me cause my buddy orders tons of bulk from them.
I also just posted about the Fram filters too, which I've been using, I havent had any problems yet but I do change my oil quite frequently.
I have to change my oil right away and wondering what I should be using for now on. I know I can get wix and motorcraft filters from a place in town but not too sure about fleetguard.
Also I switch over to Synthetic oil is it enough if I just let the previous oil drain out a little extra longer and just put the new stuff right in, or do I need to do some sort of flush?

Do you run the syn 0w40 year round? Cause I've only been using Rotella 15w40(non syn) all yr but have usually run a company truck in the winters till just recently and starting to notice the lag the 15w40 has on my poor truck in the -40c and -50c temps here.

My driving interval is such that I can run 0W-40 in the winter and 15W40 for summer.
I do an oilchange in April and one late September.
I Use Petro Canada 0W-40 Full Syn for winter and Amsoil 15W40 for Summer.
For an oil filter I use a Napa Gold/ Wix filter.
This is my first full year with this truck so I will go full amsoil staring in the spring, including theoil filter
