So what kind of egt temps should I be careful to not reach? Other words, what is too high for the pistons?

Did you find any leaks when you tested it?

we had to build all the pipes for mine since i have an OBS. there were a couple pim hole leaks and found if i tighten the clamps to tight they leak. 1250+ for a few seconds is ok but dont hold it there long.

Lets be clear here, that's 1250 pre turbo. Move that probe first off.

And to test for boost leaks you just need a three inch piece of pvc, three inches long with a cap on it. Drill and install an air compressor fitting to the cap end and pressurize to 20-25 psi. Spray everything with soapy water and watch for the bubbles. Or 4 inch and go off the intake.

Where do I hook up the pressure tester if use 3" pvc pipe?
