Default 7.3 Downpipe...

The stock downpipe is what 2,25" ?

I'm guessing you can lower EGTs by alot and make plenty more safe power by replacing this by a 4" one ?

How hard is it to remove and replace the downpipe on a F350 Superduty ?

Will it make a great difference in sound ?

I think the factory downpipe on a Superduty is 3"... A 3.5 or 4" would be fine but realistically isn't going to change much in the way of sound or egts if the rest of the system is factory...

As far as removal, they are much easier to do on a superduty vs an obs truck... It's not a difficult job...

ok, i'm thinking about building a 4" Downpipe for my cousins truck...

he's putting on dual 6" stacks and we're looking to put a 4" pipe with no mufflers to feed the stacks... so a 4" Downpipe should make a deeper rumble and lower EGTs ?

Factory down pipe on a Superduty is 3". They are easy to remove and replace. Sound wise it will not effect it one bit.

WHS...

The down pipe on a superduty is well built, its nothing like the OBS piece of crap.

4" down pipe will not change the sound at all. Removing the muffler and Cat (if equipped) will.

Biggest EGT dropper will be the removal of the factory muffler, it is a restrictive SOB.
