Default manual trans or auto????

so the transmission went out of my truck monday and I've been thinking about putting a manual trans, so should i put a auto back in the truck or a manual? i found a guy ta put a manual trans, clutch, drive shafts, transfer case, comp, and whole clutch set up for 2,200 so is it worth it?

yes he owns his own shop, if it can be done with a ford diesel hes done it, powersmoker if you fork over the other half id happily get the BTS but until then im on a low budget, considering the motor just blew in the ol ladys blazer so auto is always better???

what do you do with truck? Auto is faster and easier on leg, manual pulles much better and works in the mountains better. If you live in flat country auto is better, just dont try pulling 20k trailer with auto in the hills.
