im getting a set of leafs off a newer ford tuesday to put on mine i will measure it and see what i need im not all that worried about the front pinion angle since im using the dodge front driveline and it has the twin ujoint at the tcase and the single at the diff my budy ran 8" lift with 37 on his ram 2500 without anyissues for 100,000 miles and so i think ill be ok its not that drastic of a pinion angle. im may just add the 2 in add a leaf and see what it does

I've never seen an extended shackle kit for the front of these fords, due to the weird inside the frame connection I suppose. Expect the add-a-leaf combined with the wonky ford shackle setup to harshen the ride. Been there done that, gonna do it again with my IDI.

The D50 has been put on fords since 1980, all 3 of my ford trucks have a D50 TTB front axle. I dream of D60's at night though.

pinion angle isnt the only thing to worry about. as your axle rotates like that, so does your tie rod and drag link, and messing that up will mess with your caster angle, and could give you horrible steering problems

so sice i put a set of 4" blocks under the rear alreday from my dodge. so when they say to add 4" lift to clear 35's to add an addition 4" to the blocks? i have 35's under the rear now with inches to spare

i did some more research this morning skyjacker.com suggests a 4" lift would easily clear 38's and a 2" lift will clear 35's

yea these old fords are great for that. 6 inch lift will clear 40's.

i got no lift, slight front fender trimmage and can fully stuff and clear 36's
