Default 6.9 usable parts to transfer from 7.3

Lookin for a good way to get some good power out of my 6.9 the fuel pump is turned up and i have a turbo kit on the way but i was wonderin if there was a fuel pump or maybe injectors for the 6.9 but i was told most stuff from the 7.3 idi works for the 6.9 but does anyone know if stuff from the newer 7.3 powerstrokes would work.

yes, everything will work except the headstuds and pistons. everything esle will bolt on.

a 7.3 idi is a bored out 6.9. has same stroke, just bigger pistons.

will you get more power by taking the 7.3 injectors and putting them in a 6.9. Or are they the same size?

the injectors go by codes.

a stock 83 6.9 will have letter code "a" injectors. 84+ they go up. from "a" to "aa" all the way up to f.

letter code "g" injectors are for a 94 Idi with the factory ATS turbo.

changing to the bigger injectors will help a little, but not much without more air.

so the letter f or g is the biggest injector you can fit on a 6.9? What did you do to your 6.9 to get more fuel or what is the best advise you can give me to get more fuel on a budget.

the best stock idi injector is a "bb" code injector. they came in the 93 turbo idi's. g codes came in the 94 idi's but they were a emission injectors and don't make all that much power

or you could contact mel on oilburners.net and get his moose injectors and moose pump. only performance fuel mods currently for our trucks.
