What's the time involved in swapping out the studs? any available specs sheets for torque values and the like?

Torque specs and process for ARP studs. And I would give yourself a full day (knowing Murphy's law)

Bighorn08 thanks for the link, actually had it printed, good information. Price turned my knuckles white, have to save my pennies for awhile.

Default major Kudos to Diesel Dawg

So been ponderin the eternal question of head studs since viewing this link and thinking, hmm maybe the next grand I have laying around should go for head studs! damn! research on prices for studs leads me to believe they are made of class three titanium and take up to a year to mill and calibrate. Then I says, "self" lookee har over to one of the Diesel bombers sponsors, my jaw still hurts from smacking the desk, pert'neer bit my tonge off. Maybe it ain't cool to post prices here but I would suggest ANYBODY with a lick of country boy common sense check out the Dawg-meisters price on ARP head studs. Half the price of what I found elsewhere on those shady parts sites.
so Psssst to the other guys and to the Diesel Dawg, my newest bookmark.

HAHA. You should look up bolts for aircraft. Try $436.57 for a 9/16 shank bolt. Just ONE!!!! Glad I just order them and don't have to pay for them..... that's the government's job

Default The cost of such things

I'm probably the one guy on this list that can feel that pain with you. I spent 20 years working for Boeing in Seattle. Worked in the stores supply area, Quality Assurance, manufacturing, overhead cranes, the rail yard, fork lifts, pretty much gotta know the price of something to replace it when some bonehead screws it up. $19k nuts and bolts up to $29 million dollar assemblies all get treated like gold if you don't want to screw them up.

Yeah. Unfortunately, I work with AND FOR some of those "boneheads". And then when the damage is over $500 (which is very easy) the whole maintenance team pees in a cup. Not fun.
