Where did you hear that? No one has cracked the DPF emissions on any of the trucks yet and if it had been done on a DMax the pros at DieselPlace would have either been the first to do it or know who did. So no one has gotten it done without limping the truck but rumor in the DMax community is the PPE and EFILive are close.

So far no one has been able to do it without limping the truck or causing drivability problems.
Did you pick up your new LMM dually yet?
BTW- I come your way quite often. We have a 9000 acre ranch North of Brownwood that covers Brown, Callahan, and Eastland counties. I knew a shop there in Stephenville that was doing Cummins conversions in just about any truck back in the late 90's.

so far ive found around 5 guys with this
LMM exhaust
Well i have my new LMM and i have taken the sensor's out and straight piped it all the way back and i left the stock muffler and tip and removed the cat and dfp..
I have been driving like this for about a week now and no problems truck runs great and sounds better then any of my previous d-max's..
I figured i would post my findings for whom it may concern..
Thanks
Tyler
Well its done! 4" turbo back straight pipe on my LMM no muffler, DPF or cat. I unplugged the air pressure tubes and unplugged the pyro probes. The truck is running just fine with the CEL light NO limp. I tried to read the codes but my code reader kept reading error not sure if my simple old OBDII code reader is too old. Im getting a little more smoke nothing major maybe if they come out with an egr blocker ill get more. In conclusion I am wishing that the truck didnt make such a crappy sounding woosh at idle and a really scary woosh when you hammer it. Also I am hoping the local diesel shop can block the codes that are setting the CEL with EFI live or something similiar. I guess well see

removing the dpf will cause your check engine light to turn on. YES.
although the truck runs much better, gets better millage, and has no chance of going into limb home mode....
cut it out!

My truck is straight piped all the way back with 4" no kitty, no muffler, no DPF. The check engine light is on. Truck runs great!! No limp mode. My friend @ local diesel performance shop says no problem to block the codes using EFI live but I am waiting for my EGR blocker to come in from PPE before I get the codes blocked incase that makes it throw another one.

any one got a dually yet
ill be getting mine tomoroww or tues day
Also, stating that these guys are by-passing the DPF without issues on an LMM isnt the truth either. I guess PPE, EFILive, and all the industry pro's with their vast resources and unlimited budgets got out smarted by some shade tree mechanics.
PS- Me, Skip, and Aaron will be happy to post up threads on DP from all the industry experts on the subject. All three of us are long time DP members and Dmax drivers before we became mods here.
