6.7 head gasket..!!! Need help
dropped the truck off on monday night.....had to wait awhile till i got some money to get it fixed....gettin ARP studs and new gasket...local diesel mechanic doin it for $1250.00 should have it back on monday ill let ya know what happens
well just heard from the mechanic on sat had a small defect in the head gasket he is waiting on a tool to get the injectors out then i should have her back maybe monday night or early tuesday
umm no still has factory warranty but im pretty sure they would prolly laugh at me if i went to the dealer...idk bout virginia but the dealers kinda frown on black smoke up here in pa

and plus i see your running a pre emmissions truck so its alot easier for you to set back to stock than us 6.7 guys.....and i figured it blew the gasket once so i might as well go all out and make it so it wont break again

bleed ALL OF THE AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM!! There is a bleeder port near the upper radiator hose on the block. Just unscrew it a bit while the truck is running at idle and remove the radiator cap, top off as needed. Go run the truck to operating temp (DONT BEAT ON IT YET) and let cool down. Doing any cooling system work can and most times does leave an air bubble inside the block and I have seen them take 2-4 heat cycles to get completely out. don't beat on the truck til you get all the air out.
