Stock HG with Studs and about 4 re-torques ... first one 2 days running then re-torque .. then every 90 days for 1st year .. then they should never move .. 100#-140 # TQ MAX..

Ya stock cummins hg if your not going full race truck. They are said to be good to 80-90 psi occasionally with the 625 studs. 425's are probably about the same might just not take it too long. With 625's re torquing isn't as required. I torqued myn, re torqued after letting them sit over night. Drove hard the first time, cooled, re torqued next morning and only moved maybe 2-5 ft lbs. cold checked a series of random studs aswell a month or so after and not one moved. I think the extra insurance of 625's is worth it but that's just me. I've for sure seen over 65 psi of drive pressure so I know they are good for more.

Stock, CUMMINS for sure. Don't waste your times with Fel-Pro, or any other brand name.

I have several huys running the Felpro HG sets .. 600-900 Hp and not 1 issue ..

That being said .. With proper re-torques .. it will last just fine .. Cummins and Fel-pro use the same materials .. if you go look at both .. there are miimal differences ..

The Fel-pro acutally has silicone in the water port areas where the Cummins HG dosent .. just an observation ...

Good to know. I have never held the two side by side, just heard the stories. Seems to be more bad news about non Cummins out there than success stories. But, stories are just that, stories.

A little late to this party, but I would also go with a stock gasket!

I have heard that Felpro changed their design at some point in the not so distant past, and that the new version is every bit as good as OEM Cummins. That being said, I've heard that there are still a butt-ton of the "old" version out there on shelves, so if you don't know how to tell the difference, play it safe and just get OEM.

yeah making sure you get the up dated version is a must .. the older ones the fire ring and the silicone wasnt up to par .. That said .. you will notice the difference real fast .. the older ones there is little to no silicone around the water/oil ports ..

The nerer ones are really flashey lookin .. super cool looking .. even more silicone than the Cummins OEM gasket .. look at them on line .. you will see the difference
