whats your coolant mixture? i recommend 50/50 always, and i've been everywhere from the nevada desert in summer to adirondacks in upstate NY in january and i havent had any problems. as for the coolant itself...any foam? discoloration? is your engine oil still consistent and whats oil pressure lookin like?

1800 egt is as far as i'd let it go, the pistons and valves are coated with an inconel alloy to help withstand high temps during the dpf cleanout which is 1800 max.

truck has 30,000 miles on it has factory coolant in it....oil is normal..no discoloration or foam...

Since you deleted the EGR cooler, did you completely purge air out of the coolant system?

Otherwise, that could cause the symptoms you're describing.

you might try switching to Evans waterless coolant, It doesn't boil so it doesn't build pressure, I know alot of high RPM guy's started using it to keep from blowing freeze plugs.
