The only cold air intake (CAI) that is a reasonable price is the S&B. What I did though, was cut a hole in the bottom of a stock 6.7 air box from the wreckers and mounted a 4"od flange in the hole and gutted the stock intake tube to the turbo. For an air filter I alternate between a K&N and an aFe. The K&N is a cone style, the aFe is flat. The K&N offers more filter surface and is quieter (less turbo whistle), especially when towing.
Results have been more highway throttle response and about a 1.5 -2 MPG increase. I am also running with the EGR unplugged for about 1-1.5 MPG increase and better off idle response. The 6.7 takes the same filter as the late 5.9s. The only difference in the two boxes is the placement or addition of sensors, to the best of my knowledge.
At some point before next spring and trailer season, I will add a tube to the flange on the bottom of the air box and some sort of scoop to the end of the tube. Hopefully it will end up similar to the Volant scoop in the center of the bumper - true ram air.

Whats up, the first thing you need to do if your worried about your warranty is talk to your dealer and ask them what voids it to them. Every dealer had different rules and are getting hip to our fun products that we get to play with. There are a ton of law suits out there with dealers right now as far as what is allowed and not allowed. The dealerships are also getting info left and right about these downloaders and programmers so there getting hip to the craze thats hit the diesel market. Your dealership should allow a coldair intake, and a catback exhaust, thats keeping your dpf which as someone said earlier isn't going to gain you too much, maybe a little rumble. I guess what im trying to say is that if your really looking to get some real power you can't be too worried about the warranty.

Can you put up some photo of what you did so far?
