If you talk to Doug when you get your tuner, he may be able to make your tunes constantly cycle the vanes of the turbo to help keep it from seizing up.

No it's not the same. You need the "egr shut off" on the tunes, to get rid of the check engine light you will get from doing an EGR valve and cooler delete. The most inexpensive way I've seen it done is guys actually welding in freeze plugs on both ends of the egr cooler so exhaust can't get in. I'd just spend the money and get a decent EGR delete setup like the RCD one on ebay.

Also just the SCT wont have the egr shut off in it, you have to have the custom tunes.

Your local Ford dealer has this flash as well!

Well the truck will also idle up on it's own for warm up reasons. The vane cycling you can hear as a change in pitch of the whistle. The RPMS will not change so the motor sounds should stay the same, but it will go into high idle on it's own to maintain temperatures.

I just read throw this thread and I am not discounting SCT as the best 6.0 tuner but the facts I am looking at is the Quadzilla Adrenalin also gives you a turbo timer and gauges for under $800. SCT $500 (with costume tune), turbo timer $200, gauges $400.

For someone that is looking for better MPG, better towing, and to monitor engine vitals is the SCT option worth it? I'm not looking to over power my 6.0.

That's the question that us Diesel beginners are asking you veterans.

Thank you for the info.

Thats the question you guys keep asking and the answer will always be the same. Get the SCT with custom tunes, get at least an EGT guage and enjoy. People that have the other programers will always tell you how great they are, then they will try to sell it to you.
Yes the other programers seem to be cheaper, but in the long run you will buy that progamer, then spend money fixing the stuff it tears up on your truck and then you will end up spending money to get the SCT anyway.
On a side note to new guys, Mike(MDUB707) posts on several forums. I've never seen him offer bad advice or information. However if his spelling gets bad and words start running together, he could be drunk.

Iv'e been running the Quadzilla Adrenalin for 2 years with no problems with the unit it's self.I get my best mpg on levels 2 or 3. The only problem I've had was with there tech support, they couldn't supply me with there dyno resaults for there claimed 200 rwhp gain(200 with the software upgrade) They will email you the perameters you can change to make up you own custom tunes with the Adrenalin.

Why ?. My Quad gives me the power I need and all the gauges to monitor every thing for less. I pull a 34' trailer in the mountains of PA with no problems. Not every body agrees with your choice, It's up to the purchaser what he want's to spend his money on.

It's you money, don't let these guys bully you into buying some thing else. Due the resurch and decide. I've had the Quad Adrenalin for 2 years with no problems and I can monitor all stats from one screen and change to custom tunes with no aditional purchase. I have taken it to the shop and only unhooked the OBDII port and they didn't find anything (that would void the warrenty) I'm not telling you which one to buy, it's your money. I just get tired of these no it alls and there preachin.

4" turbo back
Quad Adrenalin
AFE intake
Amsoil thru out
Hankook Dyna pro MT 325/60R18

All I have to say is you get what you pay for boys! I am always looking for a cheap price but at the end of the day if you pay for something dirt cheap you will most times end up with crap. So I always go for the best and if it is more money and other people like it I am sold! Every truck is different and one might think they have a solid program but they will never know what extra $200 bucks more would give them. If I spend the money and I am not happy I make sure that I can return it.

Eric at Innovative is solid I have sent him many emails with questions and he has responded within that day not sure how he does it as he is very busy!

So at the end of the day SCT with Mr Eric's special touch is what I am going to do.

Oh ya I am going to get the twin turbo set from Innovative up and complete motor rebuild with Eric's tunes so it will be interesting to see what I have at the wheels.
