I'd go with Doug at Gogo... I almost forgot Doug does tunes. The biggest reason I'd go with Doug, is because if you buy from him, even though you may not have an issue with the tuner, you can call him and bug him about anything that may be wrong with your truck.

He'll be rude, but that's Doug.

So very true haha.

I've been meaning to try Doug's tunes.

Pretty much any of the hot tunes are going to be running up towards 4100rpms. Stock rev limit is 4200 where it defuels, but you'll never get a stock truck spinning up there anyways, they always seem to shift between 3400 and 3600rpms. My limit is set at 4150 on my SCT and it sees it often.

Friday88 if you liked the street tune, you'll love the x-treme street.

well ha ha again if my stock head bolts are good right now i dont wanna stretch um are those higher rpm tunes safe on head bolts? and another thing everysince my turbo and egr have been coking up it takes way longer to spool up and stuff and i think its makin my tranny shift funny like it wont beable to build enough boost so it downshifts alot when i take off from like a ten mile per hour roll and im not even getting on it and also since this has been going on ill be cruzin along about 60 without tow haul button on and sometimes if i dont make it by like letting off throttle it wont go into overdrive and again im running no tuner right now so i know its not that i think its just my turbo and stuff not making enough power to hold a steady speed? whats your opinion?

How do you know the turbo and EGR are all coked up? Have you cleaned them recently? How many miles you have? When's the last time any of it was cleaned/replaced?

Are you still under warranty or did you pay out of pocket for this stuff? Sounds like the vanes on your turbo might be sticking. I don't believe they ever clean the intake manifold. You could get it off yourself and clean it, it's not hard, but will be time consuming. If you have to take the turbo off for a cleaning then that would be a good time to do the intake manifold. It would be inexpensive to do both, but would require some time and labor is all. I can get the write up for the turbo cleaning if you want to look at it.

I'll give credit that the SCT seems to be a real fine piece, especially if you plan on doing some mad upgrades. I'll also admit that about all my Edge does is de-fuel the motor to lessen the shock to the trans.

However, because you have an 06, and you do plan on doing an EGR delete, may as well drop the coin on an SCT. Use the basic tunes for now, then get an upgraded tune to prevent an EGR fault code when you delete it.

Get custom tunes from the start. I still have my egr but have it turned off in the tunes and it doesn't cause any issues. Even though I got my sct cheaper through a local shop, in the end I paid more than if I would have just ordered it with the custom tunes from innovative. I just got it locally because I had some credit at the shop for things I returned and the sct was the only thing I was wanting at the time.
