#11
What i think you guys arent understanding is im not buying this tuner to tear my truck up im buying it probobly never gonna go over level two so i should be tearing the tranny out so if it runs good on the engine ill probobly get it but if people who have ran it have injector problems exc. exc. then I will probobly go with SCT also another ? can ford block your PCM from being tuned to try and Catch you running a tuner ??

Are you serious?? Why do you ask for help, and then say some retarded crap...
SCT custom tunes are PROVEN to be the best. There's NOTHING about the Quadzilla's tuning that is better than the SCT. That's not an opinion. That's a fact. And to say "I won't turn it past level 2", is plain-out retarded... Why get it then??
IT DOES NOT RUN BETTER THAN THE SCT. I don't know why you're even considering the option??
It's your truck, do whatever you want.

If you just want 60hp you can get the SCT for $420 with three free custom tunes, including the street tune. It's only $500 if you do an extreme upgrade.
CUSTOM TUNES
CUSTOM TUNES
CUSTOM TUNES....
Want me to repeat it? The transmission tuning is KEY here, the quadzilla WILL NOT DO IT.

ok seems how your the only one keeping your cool in this discussion do you know if the factory can set your pcm up to erase if you try tuning it? To try and catch you running a tuner? or no? I dont think they can but i just had my PCM reflashed cuz my Diablow erased it and I am really Scared to flash tune the PCM agian cuz i dont want to end up with another erased PCM so if you guys know ill be safe then ill buy the SCT with custom tunes from INNOVATIVE and another ? will this tuner leave a trace in my PCM if it goes in for warranty work??
On a 6.0 no. I've heard some internet chatter that they can tell if they dig deep enough, but I believe it to be BS. I've seen no evidence of it and I haven't seen anyone lose their warranty because of it. Just make sure you return it to stock before bringing it in for work. When you reflash back to stock it will throw a soft code (no check engine light) for battery disconnect. You could just tell them you disconnected your battery... This soft code will go away after driving for a while, and I've also heard cycling the key 12 times will clear it, but don't know if there is a truth to that or not either. Either way it shouldn't be a problem. I've flashed mine back to stock right in the dealers parking lot a few times. Haven't had any issues yet, and my truck is probably pretty suspect at this point (Had 2 sets of headgaskets done, one transmission, injector, egr cooler, I'm only at 63k miles and I've got upstate diesel performance stickers on the tailgate )
I have heard of a few RARE instances with issues of the stock tune getting erased, but that was a couple years ago and I haven't heard of any since then, especially not now with the X-3 out. It definitely seems quite popular with the Diablosport though... I believe that is a software issue with the tuner itself.
Get the SCT from Innovative, you will not be disappointed. Start with a street tune and see how you like it, it's still almost a 400 rwhp tune, just lower torque something like 650 rwtq instead of the extremes 750+rwtq. They say you can still tow safely up to 10,000lbs with the street tune, which I find impressive.
