I couldn't wait for my boost gauge to get here so I drilled a hole in my throttle bracket and ran a little temporary Swagelok mechanical tubing and an old Aschcroft pressure gage I borrowed from work. As I row through the gears, accelerating as fast as I can (no load, empty truck), I am hitting a max of 35 psi in 4th gear, and a max of about 42 psi in 5th. I just installed a 366 spring in the pump (3200 rpm governor spring) and while I had the bracketry off the back of the pump I backed out the fuel screw a half turn. My EGT's are a little better now, and I cant tell if there is any loss of power with my seat of the pants dyno. The boost does come on pretty slow.

How do the boost numbers sound? Maybe I should just take a little in-cab video showing EGT, Boost, and Tach.

Sound like you might be learning how to install head gaskets pretty soon!

Ha! I hope I don't have to do that, but if I do, so be it. Head gaskets are easy in the grand scheme of things. That would be a good time for me to do a bigger cam and possibly fly cut the pistons.

I think I'll re-torque the head tomorrow.
