I quoted hiboy because he was talking about his oil pressure gauge install in a thread about how to install an oil temperature gauge. In other words, his post was irrelevant.

Oil will have about the same heat no matter where you put the sending unit as long as there is oil there. Pressurized or not it will still read a temperature
