I am wondering if anyone knows the best place to connect an oil temp gauge sending unit to the motor,I am also putting in an oil pressure gauge thanks John

 

the pan about the middle of the deep part 1/2 way up (2 1/2in from bottom) IMO

 

i hooked up my oil pressure gauge right on top of the oil filter next to the line that goes to the turbo.

Oil Temperature ≠ Oil Pressure

 

Oil = Oil

 

Pressure exerted on oil acts equally in all directions.
Pascal's law states that pressure in a confined fluid is transmitted undiminished in every direction and acts with equal force on equal areas and at right angles in an engine.
It's usally fitted into a place at the end of the oil gallery to indicate when proper oil pressure is reached.

Have in mind that a turbo is an external device. It gets it's oil supply when all other engine parts are already lubed.

The oil filter adapter is a good place for the temperature sender. Expect a temperature drop (also an exposed location) in the oil pan.

Wow....who taught you all to read.....Head is correct....the guy is asking about oil TEMP gauge hookup.

The last application I have seen like that was an aircooled engine...
