SandDiesel My Hypertech programmer has 3 levels.I chose to reprogram the truck on level 3.I chose the highest setting and just figured i'd let it there.I dont have a monitor like the Attitude monitor to change the levels.

For me, I had to due to the weight I was hauling...11-12k is not really a load where I come from....It would be sweet if you could make some cash hauling those weights though....

Heck the bobcat and trailer weighed more and it was a tag trailer...

jimbow sounds to me like you need a BD Diesel R.A.D. to take care of that torque management in 1st-2nd gears....it will let you build as much boost as you want, wires in under the hood and will work with your hypertech

jimbow, I was just concerned about the EGT's. Don't know if you have gauges or not. I do like the adjustability on the fly from the Edge. Seems like the SMARTY by Madselectronics is getting to be a popular programmer too. You still need to have gauges though as I believe it is a downloader only.

Just hook up some guages! You can have all the monitoring you want!

Thanks for all the input guy's,i have plans for getting 2 guages before camping season.I was thinking EGT and TRANS temp.Do you guy's think that's all i should need? Thanks for the info on the torque management,i think i will check into BD DIESEL on that.I would enjoy being able build some boost. DO you guy's think individual guages are better than some of the monitors out there? Thanks

The computer doesnt allow you to build over 20# boost without the truck registering wheelspeed(ie boosting for launch). The new Smarty program that should be released this week gives you the option of turning off the "trigger" and will allow you to b uild max boost for your launch. it also allows a lot more tuning on the programs without having to completely reload a different SW#. The TNT-R program will be out the same time I THINK(dont hold me to it) that is 240+HP @the rear wheels!!!! I Have mine stacked with a Quadzilla Race Module and Commander incab controller that still allows me to have the defuel for egt's and playback for min and max values while watching 4 guages at once. The new Smarty program also allows you to change rail pressure which smarty did not do before... It only gets better.

This is why the VP44 trucks make such a big difference in low end torque with the Smarty/Edge Comp stack. The Smarty can remove the TQ Management therefore you can do boost launchs.
